What does it mean?
An apartment viewing is your opportunity to assess the home in person. Check water pressure, electrical outlets, windows, floor condition, and any moisture damage. Ask questions about the rent, what is included, notice period, and whether there are any planned renovations. Take photos for documentation, especially of any existing defects.
Beyond the apartment itself, assess the entire living environment — common areas, laundry room, storage, parking, and the surrounding neighborhood. Check public transport, shops, and schools nearby. Pay attention to noise — visit at different times of day if possible. Ask about neighbors, house rules, and whether there is a residents' association.
